In today’s stamping market environment, nc servo feeder has become the preferred feeding equipment for stamping workshops. We will also encounter various problems about the nc servo feeder. Next, we will summarize the six most common problems to help you solve your doubts.

Question 1: What types of punch feeders are available? What are the buying criteria?

There are three common types of punch feeders: NC servo feeder, high-speed roller feeder, and air feeder, as well as two high-speed models: clip feeder and gear feeder. At the same time, each model is subdivided and there are many different width models.

Purchasing standard: The model should be selected according to the actual material material, width, thickness, feeding step, speed, and accuracy.Usually the selection process is to first confirm the mold according to the product, then determine the press punching machine, and finally determine the press feeder machine model. If you don’t know how to choose, you can contact Henli directly, and we will make a professional and reasonable selection for you.

Note1: For the mold, calculate the tonnage, stroke and speed of the required press punch machine.

Note 2: The punch feeder is selected according to the material width, thickness, step distance requirements, and feeding speed.

Question 2: What do you mean by the relaxation of the feeder? If it is not relaxed, can it not be punched?

The purpose of loosening the punch feeder is to eliminate the error after each feeding, avoid the accumulation of errors, and ensure accurate feeding. The release of the punch feeder is achieved by cooperating with the guide pin of the die. By lifting the release material, after inserting the guide pin into the guide hole, correct the feeding size error.

If the mold does not have a guide pin, there is no need to relax, and it has no effect on stamping, mainly affecting the accuracy of the punch feeder.

Question 3: My material is plated and easily scratched? What is the solution?

When feeding aluminum, magnesium and coating materials, it is easy to be scratched. At this time, the feeding drum of the feeder can be wrapped with PU. This method is often used and is particularly effective.

Question 4: My material is thin and soft, can I use your feeder?

For thin and soft materials, the feeder can be installed at the discharge port of the punch press, and the punching process can be carried out by pulling the material.

Question 5: My large-tonnage punch is often used with small molds. What should I pay attention to when feeding?

A material guide device needs to be installed between the feeder and the mold to ensure the correctness of feeding (vertical and horizontal directions) in the range between the feeder and the mold, so as to avoid possible bending and deformation before the material enters the mold.

Question 6: My stamping product is stretched, and the temperature of the mold rises rapidly. What can be done?

A double-sided oil feeder can be installed at the discharge port of the feeder to effectively lubricate the material fed into the mold, which is very effective in reducing the temperature of the mold and improving the life of the mold.

Note: Make sure that the lubricating oil cannot flow back into the feeder roller, otherwise it will cause the feeding to slip.

These six questions are frequently encountered by Henli. If you plan to buy a servo feeder, you should read this article carefully. If you still don’t know how to select a feeder, or if you don’t know how to select a mold or punch, you can contact us, and Henli will help you answer your doubts.
