Traditional stamping manufacturing often relies on a single-press, single-workpiece approach. Each press uses only one die per cycle, requiring manual feeding for subsequent operations. This method suffers from poor precision, low efficiency, high labor costs, significant worker strain, and inherent safety risks due to manual material handling.

The widespread adoption of automation equipment like feeders and presses has transformed this. The outdated single-station method is being replaced by multi-station stamping lines. These integrate an NC Servo Feeder with a multi-station press, enabling a single press to complete multiple stamping operations sequentially in one continuous cycle. This ensures precise positioning, superior product quality, and delivers highly efficient, high-precision, material-saving, fully automated production.

Application in Electronic Connector Production:
In a multi-station stamping line for precision electronic connectors, the process is seamless:

  1. Coil material is uncoiled by a decoiler and leveled by a leveler.

  2. The NC Servo Feeder accurately advances the material into the press die. The decoiler’s operation is automatically controlled via a sensing unit between the leveler and feeder, while the NC Servo Feeder precisely controls each feed length.

  3. Once leveled and fed, the press activates:

    • The press slide descends for the first operation (e.g., blanking pilot holes).

    • The slide ascends, triggering the high-speed transfer system. Its arms pick up the workpiece via suction cups and place it into the next die station, signaling the press.

    • The slide descends again for the second operation (e.g., piercing multiple holes).

    • The slide ascends, the transfer system moves the workpiece to the third die, and signals the press.

    • The slide descends for the third operation (e.g., forming/bending).

  4. Finally, the transfer system’s arm places the finished electronic connector onto a conveyor belt.

This integrated system – featuring the NC Servo Feeder for pinpoint material advancement, the multi-die press, and the high-speed transfer – completes the entire complex stamping cycle for intricate electronic connectors simply, quickly, and entirely automatically, maximizing quality and throughput.
