Stamping presses are widely used metal processing devices in manufacturing. Traditional stamping often relied on single-die setups with manual feeding, suitable for lower precision and efficiency requirements. However, as demand grows for higher precision, quality, and productivity in stamped components, progressive dies have largely replaced single dies. This shift necessitates automated feeders to enable continuous, high-efficiency production.

Air feeders and roller feeders are common in stamping and work well on fixed-pitch jobs; a roller feeder, driven by the press output shaft, is a strong choice for high-speed, fixed-pitch production. Their feed length, however, is set mechanically, so frequent part changes mean repeated manual adjustment. The NC Servo Feeder removes that step. Utilizing a servo motor + PLC + touchscreen control system, it achieves exceptional feed precision (typically ±0.02mm), simplifies setup (via intuitive touchscreen inputs), expands application range, boosts productivity, and enhances operational safety – making it ideal for high-precision manufacturing like smartphone chassis production.

The NC Servo Feeder comprises a feeding unit and a control box. The feeding unit mounts to the press side via an adjustable plate, with height fine-tuned by a screw to align with die specifications. Its entry end features a material rack with two symmetrically placed lifting guide rollers that position the material. In operation, metal sheets (e.g., aluminum or magnesium alloy for smartphone frames) are placed on the rack. The control box activates feed rollers, advancing the material. The guide rollers lift the sheet to reduce friction while ensuring alignment, enabling the press to perform high-accuracy punching, bending, and cutting – essential for intricate smartphone chassis components like camera mounts, connector ports, and structural reinforcements.
