Engineering Scope

Keep dual-stage process intent while qualifying stress-relief and precision claims.

Any flatness, speed, capacity, roll setting, material-strength or residual-stress statement requires a defined machine, material and measurement method. The leveler does not own decoiler tension/containment, feeder pitch, die pilots or press timing.

A dual-stage precision leveling machine is essential for high-precision leveling and stress relief of thin sheet materials such as aluminum plates, copper plates, and aluminum-magnesium alloys. Designed for materials with a thickness of 0.1-0.6mm, this specialized equipment significantly outperforms ordinary thin sheet leveling machines. The key feature of this machine is its dual-stage leveling structure, which includes an additional set of offset arranged leveling rollers, allowing for two stages of precise leveling. This design ensures the complete elimination of internal stress, making it the best option for achieving high-precision leveling in thin sheet materials.

Understanding the Dual-Stage Precision Leveling Machine

Despite its advantages, many customers are unfamiliar with operating a dual-stage precision leveling machine, often finding the initial setup and operation complex. However, mastering this machine’s techniques reveals its superior leveling effects compared to single-stage machines. Here’s a step-by-step guide to effectively operate and utilize the dual-stage precision leveling machine.

Placement and Positioning of the Leveling Machine Table

Start by determining the placement position of the machine table after removing the packaging. The center of the dual-stage leveling machine must align with the center of the material rack, feeder, and stamping die. This alignment is crucial to prevent material deviation. Based on the material thickness and the characteristics of the stamping process, typically the feeding step distance, place the leveling machine 1.5m-2m away from the feeder. If the feeder has a long step distance, extend this distance to ensure smooth operation.

Ensuring Correct Material Thickness

Verify that the material used falls within the applicable thickness range of 0.1-0.6mm. Using material outside this range can compromise the leveling quality and potentially damage the machine.

Checking Upper and Lower Leveling Rollers

The upper and lower leveling rollers must be at the reference point, where the low point of the upper roller and the high point of the lower roller are aligned, ensuring parallelism. This alignment is essential for achieving excellent leveling results. The reference value is factory-set at the marking adjustment scale display position of 5.0. Check this position and ensure the rollers are level.

Trial Adjustment of the Dual-Stage Leveling Machine

The dual-stage precision leveling machine features an eight-point adjustment method, with the front stage for rough leveling and the rear stage for precise leveling. For materials entering with an upward arc, the front stage may not need to work, and you can use only the rear stage by raising the upper roller. For materials with a downward arc or unstable curvature, adjust the upper roller of the front stage to reverse the arc, then proceed to the rear stage for precise leveling.

Adjusting the Sensor Frame for Continuous Automated Leveling Production

After confirming the leveling effect through trial adjustment, position the sensor frame appropriately. The material stops automatically when it touches the sensor rod, and the leveling machine operates and feeds the material automatically when the feeder pulls up the material. Use the speed control knob to adjust the leveling speed according to process requirements, ensuring coordination with automated stamping production.

Mastering Operation Techniques for Optimal Results

Operating the dual-stage precision leveling machine requires an understanding of its unique features and precise adjustment techniques. Once mastered, this machine delivers unparalleled leveling performance, effectively eliminating internal stress and achieving high precision in thin sheet materials. Follow the steps outlined to maximize the machine’s potential and enhance the quality of your leveling operations.
