Introduction: What is Servo Feeder and Why is it Important?

Servo feeder is an automated equipment that uses servo motor and roller to feed metal sheets into a punch press, achieving continuous and precise stamping. It is widely used in various industries, such as automotive, electronics, appliances, etc. Servo feeder can use different materials with wide range of width, thickness, and pitch. Therefore, before using different materials, a series of adjustments need to be made to realize the automatic feeding function.

Adjustments of Servo Feeder:

The adjustments of servo feeder include: feeding height adjustment, pressure spring thickness adjustment, material width adjustment, feeding angle adjustment, and relaxation angle adjustment.

Step 1: Adjust the Feeding Height

To ensure that the feeding height of the servo feeder is consistent with the mold line height of the mold, so that the material can enter the mold accurately. The method of adjusting the feeding height is as follows:

  1. According to the actual height of the mold, determine whether the feeding height needs to be raised or lowered.
  2. Loosen the adjustment screws on the installation plate of the servo feeder.
  3. If the feeding height needs to be raised, rotate the adjustment screws clockwise to raise the machine table.
  4. If the feeding height needs to be lowered, rotate the adjustment screws counterclockwise to lower the machine table.

Step 2: Adjust the Pressure Spring Thickness

The correct pressure spring thickness adjustment is the key to ensure that the material does not slip. According to the thickness of different materials, adjust the pressure of the pressure spring, the method is as follows:

  1. Refer to the pressure gauge on the side of the servo feeder.
  2. Use the pressure adjustment handwheel to adjust the pressure gauge indication to the position of 5.

Step 3: Adjust the Material Width

According to the width of the material, the width of the material stop wheel needs to be adjusted to ensure that the material can smoothly enter the servo feeder. The method of adjusting the material width is as follows:

  1. According to the width of the material, adjust the width of the material stop wheel to be about 2mm wider than the actual material feeding width.

Step 4: Adjust the Feeding Angle and Relaxation Angle

According to the material type and stamping process requirements, the feeding angle and relaxation angle of the servo feeder need to be adjusted to ensure that the material can be fed and relaxed at the right time. These angles are usually adjusted according to the specific situation to meet the requirements of different workpieces.
