Motor-stator roller-feeder operation and maintenance
Roller-feeder maintenance must follow the actual mechanism and duty: lockout, backlash, roll condition, lubrication, release timing and pitch verification are all part of the record.
Application-Specific Process Route
The route below takes the roller feeder from safe isolation through inspection and functional setup back to production.
Motor Stator Lamination Stamping: Inputs to Freeze
Stator laminations are stamped from coated electrical steel. That stator stamping material decides the feeder setup: strip width and thickness set the roller pressure, and too much pressure damages the coating.
- Feeder model/manual revision and drive mechanism
- Electrical-steel thickness, width, coating and normal duty
- Gear/roll condition, lubrication points and allowable wear reference
- Release mechanism, press angle and die pilot requirement
- Pitch verification method and sample frequency
- Lockout, guarding, spare parts and escalation responsibility

Engineering Decision and Verification Table
| Decision gate | How to verify | Required record |
|---|---|---|
| Roll/contact state | Inspect cleanliness, damage and pressure symmetry | Photographs and maintenance checklist |
| Backlash/pitch | Measure indexed travel in the approved method | Before/after pitch record |
| Release action | Observe full opening and return without strip drag | Single-cycle trace |
| Restart quality | Run production strip and inspect tracking, marks and core features | Signed restart sample |
Step-by-Step Verification
Work through the four gates below with the production drawing, material and real machine interface. Each gate produces a record that can be reviewed before production.
Roll/contact state
Inspect cleanliness, damage and pressure symmetry Record: Photographs and maintenance checklist
Backlash/pitch
Measure indexed travel in the approved method Record: Before/after pitch record
Release action
Observe full opening and return without strip drag Record: Single-cycle trace
Restart quality
Run production strip and inspect tracking, marks and core features Record: Signed restart sample

The guides below cover stator strip misalignment, gear-feeder selection and general roller-feeder maintenance.
Failure Modes and Stop Conditions
- Maintenance without isolation: Stop work until all stored energy and strip motion are controlled
- Over-tight roll pressure: Correct traction cause instead of marking coated steel
- Reset without measurement: Do not return to automatic mode on a visual-only check
Acceptance Record
Freeze the released drawing and material revision, machine configuration, interface list, recipe, sample plan and measuring method. Record exceptions and the safe restart route, and identify the tested configuration in every reported result.
Equipment Reference
Published model ranges are listed on the HENLI roller feeding machine page; for a supplied machine, the approved quotation and the manual revision define the exact configuration.
