EMI SHIELDING CASE STAMPING
A roller feeder can serve a shielding-case progressive die when the strip uses a stable fixed pitch, the press interface is compatible and roll/guide contact does not damage functional or cosmetic surfaces.
Where shielding cases are used
Metal shielding cases (EMI shields) go into telecommunications equipment such as base stations and 5G/IoT modules, and into mobile phones. Alloy, thickness, tolerance and production rate differ from one shield to the next, so each project starts from the actual drawing.

ToggleSeparate the shield function from the feeding decision
Define material, temper, plating or coating, strip width and thickness, carrier design, draw/form stages, progression and the surfaces that must remain mark-free. Deep draws and large formed covers may lead to a different feed architecture than small fixed-pitch clips.
Where a mechanical roller feeder fits
Use the RFS option only where the press provides the required mechanical relationship, pitch is fixed, release geometry is verified and traction can be achieved without unacceptable marks. Frequent pitch changes or programmable motion should trigger an NC servo comparison.
Validate the strip and part
Measure repeated pitch and pilot handoff, then inspect carrier deformation, plating/coating, formed walls, burr orientation and final shield fit. Do not diagnose a part defect from feeder settings alone; die drag, strip camber, press guidance and lubrication may be involved.
Related electronics-stamping resources
Continue with the component or feeder question that matches the job. When the shield strip, pitch and press are known, compare them with the width, feed pitch and thickness range of each sheet metal coil feeder model.

What to send for an engineering review
Provide the part drawing, strip material and surface, width, thickness, progression, target production rate, press interface, pilot/release requirement, coil data, line layout and measurable acceptance criteria. A feeder family or model should not be selected from the part name alone.
