Two-Strip Architecture

Plan Dual-Strip Stamping from the Two Material Paths

A two-strip project is an engineered relationship between coil support, straightening, feeding, die layout and fault control. “Dual-strip,” “dual-disk” and “double-layer” are not interchangeable promises.

Define both strips before choosing the machine

Input Strip A Strip B Shared-line decision
Material and surface Grade, temper, coating and accepted contact. Grade, temper, coating and accepted contact. Can both paths use the same roller/contact solution?
Geometry Width, thickness, coil OD/ID and weight. Width, thickness, coil OD/ID and weight. Loading clearance, path spacing, passline and guarding.
Feed relationship Pitch, consumption and release timing. Pitch, consumption and release timing. Independent, synchronized or die-coupled motion.

Validate the two paths from coil loading through the die, not only the number of pallets.

Architecture Comparison

Dual-Strip, Dual-Disk and Double-Layer Systems Are Not the Same

These terms describe different decisions. A dual-strip line concerns how two strips are processed and synchronized. A dual-disk layout concerns the number and arrangement of horizontal coil pallets. A double-layer machine concerns stacked loading levels. The final machine must be confirmed from the real coil arrangement and downstream line.

Architecture What it describes Questions to confirm
Dual-strip production line Two material paths feeding one coordinated stamping process or two related operations. Strip widths, pitch relationship, straightening, feeder synchronization, die layout and fault handling.
Dual-disk horizontal uncoiler Two horizontal coil-support stations arranged for the approved material path or changeover method. Whether both stations run, alternate or serve separate strips; required guarding and loop direction.
Double-layer horizontal decoiler Two vertically stacked loading levels that reduce floor area for an approved coil arrangement. Control type, load per level, loading method and whether simultaneous or alternating operation is permitted.

The visible pallet arrangement is only the starting point; the two strip paths and control sequence still require project confirmation.

Verification required before quotation: this page does not assign YTE or YTF control to a double-layer model and does not publish a per-layer load or simultaneous-running claim. Keep those statements only after the actual mechanical and electrical project records agree.

Commission the two paths as a system

  1. Confirm each coil and loading method against the approved machine drawing.
  2. Set both passlines and guides without steering one strip against the other.
  3. Verify straightening separately when strip properties differ.
  4. Measure repeated feed and pilot handoff for both strips.
  5. Test stop logic so a fault on either path produces the approved safe response.

Dual-Strip System FAQ

Does two-strip processing automatically double output?

No. Output depends on the die, press, two material paths, feeder relationship, fault rate, changeover and approved production condition.

Can both strips run at different speeds?

Only if the approved mechanical, electrical and die design permits that behavior. The project drawings and control sequence are the authority.

Is the double-layer decoiler YTE or YTF controlled?

Do not assign the control type from a generic product name or photograph. Confirm the actual electrical configuration before publication or quotation.
