The decoiler is mainly used for uncoiling equipment in stamping production, and is an indispensable part of the stamping automation production line. In the actual purchase, first determine the weight of the coil material, followed by the inner diameter and outer diameter of the coil material, the third is to consider the width and thickness of the material, the fourth is to determine the feeding speed, and finally consider the what material, material weight, and material thickness comprehensively. Next, I will focus on the solution to the usage of the decoiler, which can be summarized from three aspects.
1. Specification classification of the most commonly used decoilers.

Specification classification of the most commonly used decoilers.
First of all, we must first distinguish between the use of powered decoilers and unpowered decoilers.
The non-powered decoiler, as its name suggests, is a device without power, which needs to be pulled by a directly matched coil leveling machine or coil feeder machine to realize uncoiling. Equipped with encircling rubber brakes to eliminate inertia and avoid bulk materials. The advantage is that the uncoiling speed is fast, and the requirement for the waiting area is very short, which can save the floor space of the factory building. But there are also obvious defects, that is, the matching coil leveling machine or coil feeder machine must have a large pulling force, and the uncoiling material should not be too thin. Unpowered decoilers tend to cause surface damage to the material when the material is too thin. This non-powered decoiler is mainly used for high-speed stamping processing of thick plates such as stamping shelves, stators and rotors, and EI sheets.
The powered decoiler adds a drive motor, a reducer, a transmission belt, a control box and an induction frame. The driving motor and reducer drive the main shaft to rotate through the transmission belt to realize uncoiling, and the control electric box controls the operation of the decoiler (automatic, manual, forward and reverse). The automatic start and stop of the decoiler is controlled by the contact between the induction frame and the material. The advantage is that it has a wide range of applications, it can be used for automatic uncoiling of coil materials, and it can also be used for automatic recoiling purposes. High customization, the inner diameter, outer diameter, and load can be customized, and there is no special requirement for direct fit. The disadvantage is that the uncoiling speed is relatively slow (usually within 16m/min), and the requirement for the waiting area is very large (the thicker the material, the greater the requirement for the waiting area). It is suitable for most automatic stamping and shearing processing occasions.
Secondly, the decoilers are classified by using different widths. Generally divided into 200-400 wide standard type, 500-800 wide medium type, 1000-2000 wide hydraulic type.

1. A-type iron plays the role of material stopper. This kind of device has simple structure and good material blocking effect, and is suitable for limiting the width of material rolls that are not too wide.
2. The 7-type induction shelf is to sense the material and automatically load it.
3. Hand crank in the third pic is used to expand and shrink the coil by link type expansion.

There are two main selective accessories.
1. If your coil thickness beyond 2mm and it is flexible material, then you need to add a pressing arm so that it can stop coil spreading out.Of course, this is just an optional function. If the material is not particularly wide or heavy, you don’t need to use the pressing arm.
2. With a inverter, the speed of the uncoiler can be automatically changed according to the running speed of the subsequent coil leveling machine (or coil feeder machine), which can greatly reduce the number of starts and stops of the decoiler. Improve the stability of uncoiling, reduce the vibration and deformation of the material, and greatly prolong the service life of the decoiler, and greatly reduce the power consumption.

About gantry induction frame，the basic principle is: when the decoiler uncoils the metal material coil and sends it to the subsequent leveler machine, due to the gravity factor of the metal material itself, material sag will occur during the transmission process. The material will form an arc between the decoiler and the leveler machine due to gravity, and it will control the material rack to stop after it touches the induction rack. After leaving, the decoiler runs automatically, so as to realize the fully automatic control of the decoiler.
However, there are unavoidable defects in this induction frame. First, the material must be a metal material. The second is that the uncoiling speed of the decoiler affects the sag height of the decoiler, which may cause loosening or uncoiling.

Classification of other types of decoilers.
Light Decoiler Machine
1. Material weight: (within 200kg).
2. Material inner diameter, outer diameter: (material inner diameter 130-410 mm, 200-300 mm, maximum outer diameter 800 mm).
3. Material width: (maximum 100 mm).
4. Material thickness: (0~2.0 mm).
It has the advantages of small footprint, easy installation and debugging, large reduction ratio, stable operation, simple and convenient maintenance, and low failure rate. It is the best choice for light stamping automatic production lines. Generally suitable for small hardware, electronic stamping production.
Flat Decoiler Machine
1. Material thickness: (0-1mm).
2. Material width: (0-120mm).
3. Coil material outer diameter: (maximum outer diameter ф800 or less).
4. Height of large stowage material: (sum of material width).
5. Feeding speed: (calculated based on material inner diameter ф300, 30 m/min).

Double Head Decoiler Machine
1. Material weight: (the loading capacity is twice that of the single-head decoiler)

5. Fast feeding speed.
6. Commonly used is non-powered type, double-shaft structure, which can be used while loading. It is suitable for use with U-type leveler, S-type leveler and gear feeder (high-speed dual-servo feeder) to achieve synchronous output. It can also be changed to a powered double-head decoiler by adding a motor and an electric control.
