In the actual assembly, the main part of the air feeder needs to be fixedly installed on the workbench on the side of the punch die. The main body is equipped with a floating bar. Above the floating bar, there is a guide plate fixed at one end of the punch die, and the guide plate is on the punching die. Press and release the floating rod under repeated motions up and down.

Structure of Air feeder

When the air feeder operates, the material is first feed by the feed roller, and then passes through the block wheel, moves the plywood, and fixes the plywood and finally is placed on the stamping die platform so that the upper die can punch it.

In the initial state, the moving splint is close to the fixed splint; when the punching machine is in operation, the upper die punches downwards and drives the guide plate to move downwards together, the guide plate presses the floating rod and generates a downward pressure, and the floating rod transfers the pressure signal to the relay , The time relay first controls the lift cylinder to move the clamp downwards. The clamp material allows the material to pass with the clamp. After the upper mold completes a work, the upper mold moves upwards, and the guide board moves upwards to guide the board to relax. In the floating bar, the floating bar will release the signal and transmit it to the time relay through the control button. The time relay will bring the plywood to move and return to the initial position. At this moment, the moving clamp will release the material. When the punching machine moves, the upper mold punches down, and the floating bar transmits the signal to the relay again, repeating the previous work, and so on.

The air feeder is divided into the following types:

1. Standard Type

The standard type is a commonly used type of air feeder. It is simple to install and does not require a power supply. It is mainly used for stamping and feeding with low feeding accuracy.

2.Add E-type solenoid valve 

E-type feeding solenoid valve replaces the original floating rod and is used when the downstroke of the punch is too short or too long for feeding. The use of solenoid valves makes the time adjustment range of the feeder larger and more accurate.

3.Add R-type solenoid valve

The R-type release solenoid valve is used to control the fixed clamp of the air feeder to release the clamping plate after the mold guide pin is entering the material, so as to cooperate with the mold guide pin to correct the feeding error. In stamping production, it is used when the product requires high feeding precision and the mold has a guide pin.

4.Add E and R-type solenoid valves 

E+R type is suitable for feeding the punch with too short or too long up and down distance, and when the mold has a guide pin that requires high-precision feeding, the solenoid valve is used to loosen the fixed splint to cooperate with the mold to correct the error.

5.Zig Zag Air Feeder
