TL Coil Straightener for General Stamping

The TL series is a practical 7-roller coil straightening machine for ordinary stamping and metal hardware production. It reduces coil set in continuous strip before the material enters an NC servo feeder and stamping press. Choose TL or TL-A from the actual strip width, thickness and material.

Overview

Coil Straightening for Ordinary Hardware Production

TL handles continuous strip from a coil. Typical work includes blanking, punching and forming where standard coil-set correction meets the part and feeding requirements.

  • Common line: MT decoiler + TL straightener + NC servo feeder + stamping press.
  • Machine roles: TL corrects coil set; the NC servo feeder controls the feed pitch into the press.
  • Production: general metal hardware, including ordinary appliance and automotive hardware components.
Electronic and precision stamping projects should generally start with the SSL precision leveling range. For 0.03โ€“0.3 mm terminal strip, review the 6-Hi thin-strip precision leveler and confirm the material and required result.

Choose the Straightener by Material and Required Result

Check width, thickness and material strength together. A width rating alone does not establish the suitable thickness or finished result.

Main application

Split-Type Coil Feeding for Stamping

The main TL application is ordinary coil-fed stamping and metal hardware production. The independent machines provide flexible placement and straightforward maintenance.

MT decoiler, TL straightener and NC feeder equipment

MT Decoiler + TL Straightener + NC Feeder

TL prepares strip for the NC feeder, which advances the material into the press. Match the line speed, working height and loop space to the production layout.

Compact Cut-to-Length Shearing Lines

TL can also prepare coil strip for fixed-length shearing. Select the line for its material capacity and required finished result.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can the TL Series Straightener process?
TL is used for ordinary coil-fed stamping and metal hardware production. Materials can include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper, subject to the selected model and material condition. The 0.35-3.2mm range covers different TL and TL-A entries, not every material on every machine. The capacity reference uses yield strength up to 235 N/mmยฒ, such as Q235; other grades need a separate check.
Is TL suitable for electronic and precision stamping?
TL is a standard 7-roller coil straightener for general stamping and hardware production. Electronic and precision stamping projects should generally start with HENLIโ€™s precision leveling range, selected for the material, flatness and surface requirements. An NC servo feeder controls feed pitch; pairing it with TL does not change the straightener into a precision leveler.
Can the TL Straightener work with an NC servo feeder?
Yes. A common split-type press feeding line uses an MT decoiler, TL straightener and NC servo feeder. TL corrects coil set before the NC feeder advances the strip into the stamping press. Confirm the strip dimensions, required line speed, loop space and equipment height when arranging the line.
Will the rollers scratch aluminum or polished material?
Surface performance depends on the material, contact condition and setup. The listed TL surface-handling options include PU or rubber coated rollers, cleaning access and non-contact loop sensing. Confirm the appropriate contact components and assess marks with representative material. For strict cosmetic or electronic precision requirements, review the precision leveling range first.
How do I choose the correct TL model size?
Check the actual strip width, thickness, material grade and strength against the selected model specification and capacity reference. A 280mm-wide coil needs a working width of at least 280mm, but width alone does not establish suitability. Confirm TL or TL-A, the drive configuration and the required finished result; the capacity chart does not override a modelโ€™s stated thickness range.
What information should I send for quotation?
Send coil strip width, thickness range, grade and strength if available, coil inner and outer diameter, coil weight, line speed, feed pitch and press speed. Include feeder or press height, available loop space, a part drawing or photo, and the required flatness and surface condition. Henli can then review the TL or TL-A configuration and the complete feeding line.
