Why the S-Type exists

A Strip Buffer Between Coil Pay-Off and High-Speed Feeding

The feeder draws strip in repeated cycles. The S-shaped path holds a reserve of material so the upstream strip supply can be coordinated with changing demand at the press.

01 ยท Decoiling

Supply the Coil Strip

The decoiler supports the coil and pays off material into the leveling line.

02 ยท S-loop leveling

Straighten and Buffer

The leveling section prepares the strip, while the internal S-loop provides controlled strip storage.

03 ยท Feeding

Control Feed Pitch

A suitable gear, cam or servo feeder advances the required length in coordination with the press.

04 ยท Stamping

Match the Production Cycle

Review press speed, feed pitch, feeding interval and the material demand of the die together.

A speed value alone does not define line output. Feed pitch, press strokes per minute and the available feeding interval all affect the required strip supply and loop demand.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this leveler use an S-shaped strip path?
It combines thin-strip leveling with an internal S-loop buffer between decoiling and high-speed feeding. The loop holds a reserve of strip to help accommodate changes in downstream demand. Its usable storage, setup and line layout must be matched to the material and feeding cycle.
Which applications suit the S-Type high-speed leveler?
Common applications include motor stator and rotor laminations, EI/UI transformer laminations and other high-speed thin-strip stamping. Confirm the material grade, width, thickness, required flatness, surface condition and press cycle for the selected configuration.
How do I choose TUS-200, TUS-300 or TUS-400?
The listed maximum strip widths are 200, 300 and 400 mm, with motor powers of 1, 1 and 2 HP respectively. All three are listed for 0.1โ€“1.0 mm strip and 60 m/min feeding speed. These are selection references; confirm the actual widthโ€“thickness combination, material properties and line requirements. Minimum usable strip width is checked for the application.
Does 60 m/min specify the press speed?
No. It is the listed strip feeding speed for the TUS models, expressed in metres per minute. Press speed is measured in strokes per minute. Feed pitch, the available feeding interval and loop demand must be reviewed together when matching the leveler, feeder and press.
What do the photoelectric switches control?
The listed configuration uses two sets of photoelectric switches for loop sensing, with frequency-converter speed control to coordinate strip supply with downstream demand. Confirm the controller, operating modes and line interfaces for the supplied machine.
Are THS project photographs covered by the TUS specification table?
The specification table on this page covers TUS-200, TUS-300 and TUS-400. Photographs identified as THS-200 and THS-650 show separate project configurations. Do not use the TUS table or the project model number alone to infer their working capacity; request the specification for that machine.
How should I compare S-Type, U-Type and precision leveling?
Compare the actual material, feeding cycle, strip path, available space and required result. U-Type is another high-speed thin-strip layout to review. A suitable precision leveler such as SSL should be assessed when material condition, flatness or surface requirements call for that process. The layout name alone does not establish which machine gives better flatness.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Send material grade and condition, strip width and thickness, coil weight and inner/outer diameter, press model and speed, feed pitch, feeder type, required flatness and surface condition, and the available layout. Include the working height, voltage and photos or a line drawing where available.
