Pneumatic stock lubrication
Pneumatic Recirculating Roller Lubrication System
Absorbent fiber rollers coat both sides of coil stock before stamping. A pneumatic tank supplies the roller head, while a separate return hose carries excess oil back to the same tank.

Complete Pneumatic Oiling System
The pneumatic tank supplies the roller head, while a separate return hose carries excess oil back to the same tank.

Absorbent Fiber Roller Head
Upper and lower fiber rollers contact both sides of the strip. Adjustable mounting feet position the head along the material path.

Absorbent Fiber Roller Sleeves
Replaceable absorbent sleeves hold lubricant and transfer it to the passing strip through direct contact.
System overview
Controlled oil supply. Direct roller contact. Oil return.
HENLI builds this automatic stock oiler in its own factory in Dongguan, China. Also called a pneumatic stock oiler, pneumatic coil oiler or air-operated lubrication system for stamping presses, it pairs a pneumatic recirculating oil tank with an absorbent fiber roller head. The head mounts in the strip path before the die; the tank sits beside the press. A supply hose carries oil to both roller axes, and a separate return hose carries excess oil from the lower tray back to the same tank.
- Upper and lower contact surfaces. Continuous absorbent fiber sleeves wet both faces of the passing strip.
- Oiling follows the selected control mode. Use timed operation or a press signal, with adjustable oiling timing.
- Excess oil has a return path. The lower tray collects oil and a separate hose returns it to the pneumatic tank.

Installation & working process
From filling the tank to returning excess oil.
The animation above follows the complete oil circuit. These five steps explain how the tank, roller head and separate return hose work together.
Fill the oil tank
With the system stopped, open the large filler cap and add lubricant. Close the cap before starting oil feed.
Start air & oil supply
Connect external compressed air to the regulator and set timed oiling. The separate oil outlet supplies the roller head.
Wet both rollers
Side connections deliver oil to the upper and lower roller axes and absorbent sleeves.
Coat before the die
The moving strip contacts both wetted rollers before entering the stamping die.
Return excess oil
The lower tray drains through a return hose into the fitting beside the filler cap on the same tank, so excess oil is recovered and recycled instead of dripping onto the floor.
Roller options
Choose the head for your strip and lubricant.
The pneumatic recirculating tank can be paired with different roller heads. The primary configuration shown here uses absorbent fiber sleeves; standard wool felt rollers are also available.
Roller construction and oil distribution differ between these heads. Confirm working width, strip thickness, lubricant and mounting arrangement when selecting a configuration.

Double-Sided Sheet Metal Oiling Table
Pneumatic oil circulation can also be configured with a double-sided sheet metal oiler. Cut blanks pass through the oiling rollers and return to the loading side for removal before forming.
The roller table supports and handles individual workpieces. Select this layout for sheets and blanks that are loaded separately.
Model selection
Select working width, then roller configuration.
CT-series sizes follow the roller head working width; the pneumatic system uses the same roller lubricator heads as our coil stock oiler range. Choose a head that covers your strip, then match roller diameter and material to thickness and lubricant.
| Model | CT-65 | CT-80 | CT-100 | CT-150 | CT-200 | CT-250 | CT-300 | CT-1200 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Working width | 65 mm | 80 mm | 100 mm | 150 mm | 200 mm | 250 mm | 300 mm | 1200 mm |
Custom working widths: 65โ1600 mm. Final configuration depends on strip thickness, lubricant and installation layout. These CT strip-head sizes do not specify the separate sheet-oiling table.

Frequently asked questions
Before you select your system.
Match the oil circuit, roller head and handling arrangement to the actual material and press layout.
How do both fiber rollers receive oil?
Side feed connections deliver oil to both the upper and lower roller axes. The absorbent sleeves become wetted and contact the two faces of the moving strip.
Are the filling, supply and return openings the same?
They have separate functions. Lubricant is added through the large capped filler. The supply outlet feeds the roller head. The return hose connects to the smaller fitting beside the filler cap, where excess oil enters the same tank. The external air inlet connects to the regulator.
Does the oil circuit connect to the press?
The oil hoses connect the tank and roller head. The press provides the mounting and material-processing context; oil is applied to the strip before it reaches the die. The animation demonstrates timed oiling. Signal-controlled operation is a separate control option.
Does excess oil return to the same tank?
Yes. Excess oil collects in the roller headโs lower tray and travels through a separate return hose to the pneumatic tankโs return connection.
Can I select wool felt rollers with the pneumatic tank?
Yes. The standard wool felt head is an alternative configuration. Its upper drip manifold wets the upper felt roller; oil runs down to wet the lower felt roller. The lower trough collects excess oil for return. Specify this head when requesting your configuration.
Which oiling control modes are available?
The demonstrated controller provides timed and signal-controlled oiling. A press cam signal can trigger oil feed during the selected cycle. Confirm the available control signal and wiring when ordering.
Can the same lubrication approach serve cut sheets?
Pneumatic oil circulation can be configured with a double-sided sheet metal oiler. That application uses a roller table to support individual blanks and return them to the loading side. Its handling equipment and model selection are separate from the CT strip head.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Send material width and thickness, metal type, feeder or press speed, lubricant type and viscosity, installation pass height, and preferred control mode. Photos of the mounting space help confirm the installation.
Pneumatic or gravity-fed: which stock oiler do I need?
Choose the gravity-fed CT oiler for a simple, power-free drip supply with manual valve adjustment. Choose the pneumatic recirculating system when you need automatic timed or press-signal oiling, delivery set by air pressure, a low-oil alarm and excess oil returned to the tank. Both use CT-series roller heads; see the full stock oiler series.
Is this the same as an in-line pneumatic oiler for air tools?
No. An in-line air oiler adds oil mist to a compressed-air line to lubricate air tools and cylinders. This pneumatic stock oiler uses compressed air only to drive its oil supply; the roller head applies lubricant to the metal strip before the die.
What affects the price and lead time of a pneumatic stock oiler?
The quotation depends on the working width, the roller head (absorbent fiber or wool felt), the control mode (timed or press signal), the lubricant and whether a sheet-oiling table is also needed. The CT roller heads and mounting accessories are kept in stock, so systems can be shipped within 3 days of receiving payment.
Is HENLI the manufacturer of these pneumatic stock oilers?
Yes. HENLI is the brand of Dongguan Xinxiang Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., founded in 2003. We build these pneumatic stock oilers in our own factory in Dongguan, Guangdong, China, so you buy directly from the manufacturer.
