Product overview
Machine View and Roller Area for Ultra-Thin Strip Leveling
Use this model when thin strip flatness, surface protection, and stable feeding are more important than heavy-gauge capacity.
The machine is designed for ultra-thin metal strip leveling from 0.03mm to 0.3mm. Standard 12mm leveling rollers provide stable support for common thin strip applications, while 10mm rollers can be selected for special materials that require a smaller roller diameter.
Typical applications include copper, aluminum, stainless and plated terminal strip. Confirm the material grade and temper, width, surface condition and target flatness when selecting a configuration within the 0.03-0.3mm range.
Technical specifications

The thickness range is a starting point for selection. Material grade, temper, strength, strip width and the required result are reviewed together. Confirm the working speed and drive configuration against your line requirements; non-contact loop synchronization and film peeling are optional.
Material and line review
Match the Leveler to Your Strip and Press Line
Start with a drawing, material specification or representative sample. These details help Henli select the width, roller option and line arrangement.
Material and size
Send the grade, temper or hardness, thickness range and actual strip width. Include yield strength or a material certificate when available, plus photos of the incoming coil set or waviness.
Flatness target
State the acceptable deviation, inspection length and measurement method. Explain whether the requirement applies to supported strip, a free sample after cutting, or the finished stamped part.
Surface requirements
Identify the finish, plating or coating, critical face and acceptable contact marks. For protective film, state whether it must remain on the strip or be removed before leveling.
Feeding and layout
Send the required line speed, feed pitch, press strokes per minute and feeder type. Add a layout or photos showing entry height, available loop space and the route to the downstream feeder.
Agree the Checks Before a Material Trial
- Use representative material. Match the production grade, temper, thickness, width and surface condition.
- Define the result. Agree how flatness and surface marks will be inspected, including sample length and support conditions.
- Record the tested setup. Compare before and after results with the selected roller configuration and running conditions. Include the downstream part check when that is your acceptance target.
POM feeding rollers support gentle handling. For plated or bright strip, review contact marks along the complete material path as part of the trial.

Core Structure Photos for Thin-Strip Leveling Decisions
Key structures are shown with close-up photos so engineers can check the working area, drive path, and material-contact points.
6-Hi support structure
When ultra-thin strip is leveled under pressure, small work rollers can bend and create uneven leveling force. The 6-Hi support structure backs the work rollers from both upper and lower sides. The 6-Hi name describes the support arrangement; the working roller bank has 21 rollers, with 10 upper and 11 lower work rollers.
- Improves roller support under leveling pressure.
- Helps maintain more stable flatness across narrow or sensitive strip.
Gearbox-to-universal-joint drive
The gearbox-to-universal-joint drive helps transmit power more evenly to each leveling roller, supporting smoother strip movement during precision leveling.
- Helps reduce slipping and uneven pulling.
- Supports stable roller operation during continuous feeding.
Dial-indicator pressure adjustment
Handwheels and dial indicators make roller pressure adjustment clearer, easier to repeat, and easier to record for different material thicknesses and surface conditions.
- Settings can be recorded for repeat production.
- Useful when switching between similar 0.03-0.3mm materials.
Fully automatic circulating lubrication
The automatic oil pump supplies lubrication to roller shafts, bearings, and transmission points at set intervals during operation.
- Reduces friction, wear, and heat buildup.
- Supports stable operation in continuous thin-strip feeding lines.
POM feeding rollers for surface protection
POM feeding rollers provide gentler contact for sensitive materials and help reduce friction marks or scratches during feeding and leveling.
- Useful for bright, coated, plated, or high-surface-requirement strip.
- Wear-resistant roller material supports clean, stable feeding.
Optional configurations
Surface Protection and Line Synchronization Options
These devices are selected only when the production line requires non-contact loop tracking or protective film peeling and rewinding.
Optional upgrade
Stepless variable speed synchronization
Laser or photoelectric non-contact tracking monitors strip loop height and automatically adjusts motor speed through a VFD to synchronize with the press and feeder.
Optional upgrade
Protective film peeling device
For coil materials with protective film, the peeling device separates and rewinds the film before leveling to support cleaner continuous production.
Selection boundary
When to Choose This 6-Hi Leveler Instead of Other Precision Levelers
Use this comparison when the material thickness, surface requirement, or leveling path suggests a different precision leveler structure.
Applications
Recommended Applications for 6-Hi Thin Strip Leveling
The machine is suitable for lines where small deformation, surface marks, or unstable feeding can affect finished part quality.
FAQ
Selection Questions for 0.03-0.3mm Thin Strip Leveling
Answers about roller options, material suitability, line matching and trial requirements.
What materials are suitable for the 6-Hi thin strip precision leveler?
The stated range covers 0.03-0.3mm thin strip, including 0.04mm material. Typical applications include copper, aluminum, stainless and plated terminal strip. Confirm suitability using the actual grade, temper, width, surface requirement and target flatness.
When should 10mm rollers be selected instead of standard 12mm rollers?
Both diameters are available for this thin-strip product. ร12mm is the standard option and ร10mm is optional. Select the roller configuration from the actual material and required result; thickness alone does not determine the choice.
Does 6-Hi mean six leveling rollers?
No. The 6-Hi name describes the support arrangement. The listed configuration has 21 work rollers: 10 upper and 11 lower. Support rollers back the work rollers during leveling.
How is the leveler matched to our press speed?
Send the required line speed, feed pitch, press strokes per minute and feeder layout. Confirm the working speed for the selected drive and roller configuration. Non-contact loop tracking and speed synchronization are optional and are selected for the production line.
How should flatness and surface quality be specified?
Provide the allowable deviation, inspection length, measurement method and surface acceptance criteria. State whether the result is checked on strip, a cut sample or the finished part. Use representative material to review the selected setup against those requirements.
Can this machine process material thicker than 0.3mm?
This page covers the 0.03-0.3mm thin-strip product. For thicker strip, cut sheets or individual flat parts, review the SSL precision leveler configurations. The dual-stage product is another option for 0.1-0.6mm material requiring rough and fine leveling. Confirm selection from the material and process.
Send Your Thin-Strip Material Requirements
