Key components

The three essentials of gravity-fed oiling.

HENLI manufactures its CT-series coil stock oilers in its own factory in Dongguan, China. Also called stock lubricators, strip lubricators, stamping oilers or punch press oil feeders, they form a complete coil stock lubrication system for press and roll-forming lines. They apply lubricant by direct roller contact rather than spraying, and in its basic form the CT oiler is a simple gravity feed lubrication system: no pump and no electrical power. The hanging reservoir, adjustable manifold and wool felt rollers work together to meter lubricant and transfer it to both faces of the strip. Controlled lubrication helps reduce friction and tooling wear while supporting consistent stamped-part quality.

Transparent Gravity Reservoir

Transparent Gravity Reservoir

A 4 L transparent hanging reservoir makes the oil level easy to monitor. Mounted above the roller head, it supplies lubricant by gravity without electrical power. A built-in filter screen filters the oil before it reaches the rollers.

Precision Flow Control Manifold

Precision Flow Control Manifold

The anodized aluminum alloy manifold is lightweight and corrosion resistant, matching the lightweight aluminum head construction. Individual brass micro-adjustment valves meter the oil delivered to different sections along the roller width, helping control coverage and avoid excess oil use.

Australian Felt Rollers

Australian Felt Rollers

The rollers use imported Australian high-density wool felt for oil retention and wear resistance. The sectional construction allows individual felt elements to be maintained or replaced without replacing the complete roller assembly.

Model selection

Choose the width.
We match the roller size.

The CT model identifies the working width. Felt roller diameters of 22, 32 and 50 mm are selected to suit the material thickness; they are not three different model series.

Working width is the usable felt contact length. Select a head at least as wide as your maximum strip; final mounting dimensions follow the ordered configuration.

02 · Tell us the material thickness

HENLI selects the felt roller diameter for your material and application.

Ø22 mm

Available as a roller-size option. Application and thickness suitability are confirmed by HENLI.

Ø32 mm

Used for material up to 3 mm thick, with the final roller and contact setting selected for your process.

Ø50 mm

Used for material up to 6 mm thick. Send the actual thickness for configuration and capacity confirmation.

Material over 6 mm thick? Send an inquiry with the material, width and thickness, and HENLI will confirm a roller and oil-supply solution for your line.

Sizing & setup guide

What to measure before ordering.

Working width is the usable felt length, not the overall frame length. Match it to your widest material; HENLI then selects the roller diameter and mounting arrangement.

Standard head dimensions: overall length and the usable roller working length.

Match the felt length to your material.

Choose a roller working width at least as wide as your widest strip. For example, CT300 provides 300 mm of felt contact length. The illustrated standard head is 100 mm longer overall than its working width; confirm the mounting dimensions for your ordered head.

Adjustment points: drip-flow knobs, roller contact adjustment and the lower oil drain.

Match the contact and oil flow to the job.

Send your material thickness, lubricant and feed speed so HENLI can select the felt roller diameter. The side adjustment sets roller contact; the upper brass valves control oil delivery. The lower trough collects excess oil; the bottom outlet drains it to a recovery container.

Frequently asked questions

Choosing and maintaining your stock oiler.

Match the head and oil-supply system to the strip, lubricant and production cycle. Provide an installation photograph for help with mounting and configuration.

How do I choose between gravity, pneumatic, signal-controlled and electric supply?

Use gravity supply for a simple manually adjusted drip system. Choose a pneumatic tank when an air-driven pump and oil return are needed. A signal-controlled tank switches its solenoid with the press and offers an empty-tank interlock. An electric motor pump provides pumped supply with pressure monitoring. Compare lubricant, required delivery, control interface and available utilities before ordering.

How do I select the working width and roller diameter?

Choose a working width at least as wide as the maximum strip. CT300 has a 300 mm roller working length; the listed model range runs from CT65 to CT1M6 (1600 mm). HENLI selects the felt roller diameter from Ø22, Ø32 and Ø50 mm according to your material. Ø32 mm is used for material up to 3 mm thick and Ø50 mm for material up to 6 mm thick; for thicker material, send an inquiry and HENLI will confirm a solution. Other roller designs have their own thickness ranges.

Which stamping oils can the rollers use?

The system can be configured for common stamping and drawing lubricants, including suitable vanishing oils, mineral oils and synthetic blends. Match oil viscosity and chemistry to the roller material, hoses and selected supply system. Provide the lubricant specification when ordering; highly corrosive or acidic oils are unsuitable for the absorbent fiber option.

How do I clean or replace the rollers?

Inspect the contact surfaces for embedded metal debris, damage and uneven oil transfer. Clean with a method and cleaning agent compatible with the lubricant and roller material. The sectional wool felt design allows worn felt discs to be replaced without replacing the complete roller assembly.

How does the lower wool felt roller receive oil?

In the standard gravity-fed head, the upper manifold drips oil onto the upper felt roller. Oil runs down and wets the lower felt, so both roller surfaces can coat the strip. This is different from the internal-feed arrangement used by the absorbent fiber head.

Does collected oil automatically return to the hanging bottle?

No. Excess oil drains from the lower trough into a separate recovery container. Suitable recovered oil can be checked and returned manually; the gravity kit has no pump to lift it back to the bottle. The pneumatic recirculating system uses a separate return hose to the same tank.

What spare wool felt is included?

One additional full set of wool felt discs is supplied at no extra charge with each wool felt oiler. The disc dimensions and quantity match the purchased roller size and working width, in addition to the felt already fitted.

How long can I use the fitted felt and spare set?

The installed felt and included spare set are intended to support approximately two years of use. Actual service life depends on operating hours, material condition, lubricant and maintenance. Replace felt when wear, damage or debris affects oil transfer.

Can I retrofit the oiler to an existing press, feeder or roll-forming line?

Yes. The oiler can be configured for presses, feeders, straighteners and roll-forming lines with a suitable mounting arrangement. The supplied adjustable mounting brackets and lightweight aluminum head let the oiler be aligned to the material path. Confirm the working width, feed height, fixing points and die clearance. Automatic systems also require the appropriate air, power and control connections.

Can I control the oil volume precisely?

Adjust the individual brass valves along the gravity-fed manifold. Automatic systems offer their own flow controls and timed or signal-based settings. Wet the rollers before production, check the coating on a trial strip and adjust delivery for the lubricant and feed speed.

What is a coil stock oiler, and what else is it called?

A coil stock oiler is a press-line accessory that applies a thin, controlled lubricant film to both faces of coil stock before the die. Buyers also call it a stock lubricator, strip lubricator, stamping oiler, roller lubricator, felt roller lubricator, oil coating machine or punch press oil feeder. HENLI's CT series covers working widths from 65 mm (CT65) to 1600 mm (CT1M6), with gravity, pneumatic, electric-pump or press-signal oil supply.

How does a gravity feed lubrication system work?

Oil flows by gravity from the 4 L hanging reservoir to the manifold above the roller head, where individual brass valves meter the drip along the upper wool felt roller. Oil runs down to wet the lower felt, both felts coat the passing strip, and excess oil drains from the lower trough to a separate recovery container. There is no pump or electrical supply; you set the flow with the valves and refill the reservoir.

Why is the oil coating uneven?

First check that the strip runs inside the felt working width and that the head is aligned with the feed height. Wet both rollers before production, then open the brass valves for any section that runs dry. Inspect the felt for embedded metal debris, damage or glazing, and confirm that the lubricant suits the roller material and feed speed. If the lower face stays dry, check roller contact and whether enough oil reaches the upper felt to run down to the lower roller.

Can the oiler handle material thicker than 6 mm?

The standard felt heads cover material up to 6 mm: Ø32 mm rollers up to 3 mm and Ø50 mm rollers up to 6 mm. For thicker material, send an inquiry with the material, width, thickness and feed speed, and HENLI will confirm a suitable roller and oil-supply solution for your line.

What affects the price and lead time of a stock oiler?

The quotation depends on the working width (CT model), the roller head (wool felt, rubber, absorbent fiber, four-roller or auto-lift), the oil-supply system (gravity reservoir, pneumatic, electric-pump or press-signal tank), the control voltage and interface, and quantity and packing. All CT models and mounting accessories are kept in stock, so orders can be shipped within 3 days of receiving payment.
