How the roller system works

Repeated Bending Through a Compact Roller Set

Staggered rollers bend and reverse-bend suitable thin material as it passes through. Diameter, spacing, roller count and adjustment work together; more rollers alone do not establish a better result for every part.

Installation and equipment selection

Plan the Bench, Support and Production Route

A compact machine still needs a suitable installation. Review machine dimensions, weight, working clearance, material support and the electrical supply before ordering.

Workbench preparation

Confirm the Installation Details

Check bench load capacity and stability against the selected machine, including DPL-100 at โ‰ค35 kg or DPL-200 at approximately 60 kg. Obtain the installation drawing and confirm supply voltage, frequency and phase.

Larger workpieces or coil lines

Review a Larger Leveler

For material wider than 200 mm, thicker than 1.0 mm, larger individual sheets or flat parts, or a continuous coil-fed press line, review a suitable precision sheet and coil leveler and the required equipment arrangement.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a desktop precision roller leveler used for?
The DPL series levels suitable thin strips, small flat parts and test samples for labs, R&D, prototyping and small-batch production. Typical candidates include flat stamped pieces, shims and small sheet samples. Confirm the material, part geometry and required result before selecting a model.
How do DPL-100 and DPL-200 differ?
DPL-100 has a maximum material width of 100 mm, a listed thickness range of 0.08โ€“0.6 mm, 21 leveling rollers of ร˜15 mm and a 120 W motor. DPL-200 has a maximum width of 200 mm, a listed thickness range of 0.1โ€“1.0 mm and 19 rollers of ร˜20 mm. Confirm DPL-200 motor power with the quotation.
Can both models process the full 0.08โ€“1.0 mm range?
No. The 0.08โ€“1.0 mm range describes the coverage across the two models. DPL-100 is listed for 0.08โ€“0.6 mm and DPL-200 for 0.1โ€“1.0 mm. Selection must also consider width, material hardness, deformation and part geometry.
What is the minimum part size?
Minimum usable length and width depend on whether the part can engage the rollers and be supported through entry and exit. Send the dimensions, outline and photographs or drawings for a handling review. Very short pieces, narrow shapes, openings and formed features may require sample testing or another process.
Why are there 19 or 21 leveling rollers?
The staggered rollers apply a sequence of bending and reverse-bending steps as suitable thin material passes through. Roller count works together with diameter, spacing and adjustment; it does not on its own establish suitability or a guaranteed flatness. Compare the complete model and the actual sample result.
Which metals can be assessed for DPL leveling?
Typical candidates include stainless steel, copper, aluminum, brass, phosphor bronze and carbon steel within the selected model range. Share the grade, temper or hardness and surface requirements. Special alloys, unusually hard material and delicate surfaces need an application review and may require a sample test.
Does DPL guarantee a particular flatness?
The result depends on material properties, incoming curl or deformation, part geometry and the setup. Specify the target flatness, measurement length and inspection method, then use a representative sample test to assess the result. A general thickness range is not a flatness guarantee.
What should I confirm for workbench installation?
Check machine dimensions, bench load capacity and stability, entry and exit support, access for adjustment and the required power supply. DPL-100 is listed at โ‰ค35 kg and DPL-200 at approximately 60 kg. Confirm the installation drawing, handling arrangement and electrical configuration for the ordered machine.
Can Henli test my parts before purchase?
Yes. Share material data, dimensions, photographs or drawings and the target flatness first. Agree the sample quantity and test requirements with Henli before sending parts. A leveling test video or result review helps your team assess model fit and handling before final purchase.
When should I choose a larger precision or coil leveler?
Review a suitable larger leveler for widths above 200 mm, thicknesses above 1.0 mm, larger individual sheets or flat parts, or continuous coil processing integrated with a decoiler, feeder and press. Henli can review the material and production setup to select the appropriate equipment.
