Automatic Double-Sided Sheet Metal Oiler with Same-Side Return Feed
Apply lubricant to both sides of cut sheets and round blanks before hydraulic press forming, deep drawing or stretch forming. Automatic feeding and return bring each blank back to the operator's loading side.
Load. Oil Both Sides. Collect from the Same Side.
The oiling head stays fixed. Driven rollers carry the blank through the oiling area, then reverse to return it to the loading table.
Fill and Prepare
Add suitable lubricant through the tank's fill port. Set the roller gap, oil delivery and operating controls for the blank.
Place the Blank
Place the flat blank on the roller table and guide it into the feed position. Release it as the rollers take over.
Coat and Return
Upper and lower oiling rollers contact both faces. After the blank clears the head, the feed reverses and brings it back.
Collect the Oiled Blank
Pick up the returned blank from the same working side and transfer it to the next forming operation.

Watch on YouTubeSelect Around the Parts You Actually Run
The factory photos show both circular blanks and rectangular sheets on the roller table. Selection depends on the complete blank dimensions and handling requirements, as well as working width.
Round Blanks
Provide the largest and smallest diameters, thickness and piece weight. These determine the required width, table support and return handling.
Rectangular Sheets
Provide the width across the feed direction, overall length, thickness and piece weight. Confirm the intended feed orientation.
Send a drawing or sample for irregular profiles, very small blanks, perforated pieces or surfaces with special handling requirements.
Choose the Width, Then Confirm the Configuration
Start with the maximum blank width across the feed direction; use the diameter for round blanks. The four widths below are common examples, with custom working widths available up to 1200 mm.
300 mm Working Width
An option for smaller blanks and compact press-side oiling stations. Confirm the complete table size and access space for your installation.
- Workpiece
- Individual cut sheets and blanks
- Oiling
- Upper and lower roller contact
- Handling
- Same-side loading and return
500 mm Working Width
A width option for blanks that fit a 500 mm oiling area. Match the table support and handling arrangement to the blank length and weight.
- Workpiece
- Individual cut sheets and blanks
- Oiling
- Upper and lower roller contact
- Handling
- Same-side loading and return
600 mm Working Width
The DSO600 is shown in the operating demonstration. Confirm your blank sizes and required configuration against the quoted machine specification.
- Workpiece
- Individual cut sheets and blanks
- Oiling
- Upper and lower roller contact
- Handling
- Same-side loading and return
1200 mm Working Width
A wider option for larger sheets and blanks. Confirm the part envelope, support-table dimensions and loading access before selection.
- Workpiece
- Individual cut sheets and blanks
- Oiling
- Upper and lower roller contact
- Handling
- Same-side loading and return
What to Confirm Before Ordering
A working width alone is not a complete specification. Send the following information so HENLI can confirm the roller table, oiling setup and handling arrangement.
| Selection Item | Information to Provide | What It Determines |
|---|---|---|
| Blank shape and dimensions | Largest and smallest width and length, or diameter for round blanks; drawing for irregular shapes. | Working width, roller-table support, detection and return clearance. |
| Material, thickness and weight | Material grade, thickness range, piece weight and surface-finish requirements. | Roller contact, gap setting and handling suitability. |
| Lubricant and oil film | Oil name or datasheet, viscosity at operating conditions, and required light or heavier film. | Oil delivery and circulation compatibility, including drawing or anti-rust oils where required. |
| Forming process and output | Press type, forming operation, target parts per minute and how often blank sizes change. | Required cycle, adjustment needs and transfer rhythm. |
| Loading and collection | Manual handling, robot loading or a transfer station; operator access and intended feed orientation. | Same-side return layout and any additional handling interface. |
| Installation and utilities | Available floor space, working height, press layout, electrical supply and compressed-air availability. | Machine layout and the power and air requirements of the selected configuration. |
HENLI will confirm the allowable thickness, minimum blank size, piece weight, feed speed, machine dimensions and utility requirements in the model-specific quotation.
Oiling, Detection and Adjustment in One Station
The roller table combines oil delivery, material detection and controlled feeding to prepare individual blanks for forming.
Control Panel and Oil Level Alarm
Oiling timer, signal/timer selection, auto/manual mode, feed-speed adjustment and jog oil feed give the operator control over the cycle. Power indication and an oil level alarm show operating status.
Oil Circulation Unit
The tank, pump, supply tubing and return arrangement support repeated oiling. The pictured table configuration places the tank below the rollers, with a separate fill port for replenishment.
Roller Gap Adjustment
Handwheels adjust the oiling-head gap and roller contact to suit the specified blank thickness and surface condition.
Material Detection
Material detection at the feeding and return positions supports the automatic blank movement and same-side return sequence.
Oil Flow Control
Valves and tubing distribute lubricant to the oiling rollers. Adjust delivery for the lubricant and the oil film required by the forming process.
Electrical Control Cabinet
PLC and electrical drive components coordinate feeding and return motion. Confirm the electrical configuration and any external handling interface for the quoted machine.
Roller Oiling Area
Upper and lower contact rollers coat the two blank surfaces.
Model Identification
Check the specification supplied with the selected machine. DSO-1200 plate shown.
Dedicated Oil Filler
Add lubricant through the separate tank filling port.
Compressed-Air Inlet
The labelled regulator connection supplies air to the pneumatic oiling system.
Photos show different working widths and machine configurations. Confirm the roller arrangement, table, controls and oil supply package supplied with your selected model.
Prepare Flat Blanks Before Press Forming
Use the station to apply the required lubricant film before forming. Match the blank material, lubricant and handling arrangement to the downstream operation.
Hydraulic Press Sheet Forming
Oil cut blanks before forming in a hydraulic press, with same-side collection for transfer to the die.
Deep Drawing and Stretch Forming
Prepare round or rectangular blanks for drawing containers, shells or panels, where lubrication helps manage tool contact, friction and surface marking.
Automotive Sheet Metal Blanks
Prepare flat blanks used to form brackets, reinforcement plates, covers and housings. Select the oiling conditions for the part and die.
Home Appliance Panels
Apply lubricant before forming appliance panels, shells, covers and liners, with roller contact chosen for the required surface finish.
Stainless Steel and Hardware Parts
Evaluate the station for sink blanks, kitchenware, cookware, containers and other hardware blanks that need oil on both faces before forming.
Manual or Robot Loading Stations
Use manual press-side loading as demonstrated, or discuss a robot or transfer-station interface to suit the handling layout and production cycle.
Questions Before Choosing a Sheet Metal Oiler
Confirm the blank, lubricant and production layout together. We can help match the working width and handling configuration to your process.
Is this machine for cut blanks or continuous coil strip?
Can it oil both round blanks and rectangular sheets?
Does automatic operation include loading and unloading?
Why use same-side return feed?
Can the amount of oil be adjusted?
How do I choose the working width?
What routine maintenance should be considered?
Find the Right Oiler for Your Blanks
Send a part drawing or photos, largest and smallest blank dimensions, material thickness, lubricant details and your press-side layout. Include the loading method and target output so HENLI can recommend the working width and configuration.
